Wildebeeste Lamu

We stayed in a room that had its own bathroom.

So glad we choose it, it's vacation base for staying in Lamu. The staff is very amiable and top-class.

The bathrooms are cold.

fantastic location really close to everything with views of the town and water. and so close to the town centre, a real labyrinth of stairs leading up to individual rooms, loads of character, a clinic and the square.

The staff here are excellent and the atmosphere is unique.

Everything was good, absolutely fantastic hotel, the location was marvellous right by Lamu island, the centre of lamu and the old town. The rooms were large and huge here with a great view and an ensuite bath, as for instance. The cost was usd 10. The best part were the really helpful and top-class staff👍

The room was nice and cozy, and we had our own bathroom which was a plus. the view from our room was beautiful! the best part? It was all for just £11! 🌟.

The staff was friendly and ready to assist, the place was clean and affordable with a private bathroom included, all for just GBP 8.

We really enjoy staying at this place when we visit, it's so unique and the staff is fantastic, plus it's conveniently close to a high-end gallery.

The hotel exceeded our high expectations. The room had an ensuite bath. The location was marvelous, just minutes from Lamu Museum. The property was a short walk from a port.

I recently stayed at Wildebeeste and it was amazing! The manager went above and beyond by arranging airport pick-up and making sure I had everything I needed. The location is perfect, right in the center of town. The rooms are spacious and the WiFi works well. The hostel has a unique Swahili style, with antique furniture and a fully equipped kitchenette. The bathroom has great shower pressure and the host even provided solar lights for power outages. It truly felt like a home away from home!

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Authentic Swahili mansion, beautiful courtyard, great value for money, rooftop bed for stargazing and ocean view, located in the heart of the UNESCO heritage sight, gracious and cute host.
